The Community Guide has a long history in the BSWNC. Historically always developed in hard copy, you can now access this resource on this website, in both PDF & webpage format.

The Community Guide is designed for easy search and location of community groups and services, Government and non-Government agencies, medical, emergency and educational services etc.

The development of the Community Guide commenced back in 1972, and is a very time consuming and costly exercise. The work in gathering current information was undertaken by staff and volunteers of Inala Community House. Funding was provided through the Queensland Governments Community Renewal Program, as part of the BOOST project being managed by Inala Community House for the printing of a limited number of community guides, and the development of this website.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank and acknowledge the following people and organizations who supported this initiative.

  • Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, for supporting the BOOST application
  • Queensland Governments Community Renewal Program
  • BOOST Project Management Team
  • Inala Community House Management Committee, and staff Marie Torres and Helen Hirt, andvolunteers Del, Maree, Cathy

On behalf of the Management of Inala Community House, we thank everybody for their support and contribution to both the guide and website. For inclusion or to update information please contact Inala Community House reception on 3372 1711 or reception@ich.org.au. Information contained in the guide was correct at the time of print.
