Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting has open invitation to members of the community to be informed on the achievments of the organisation, gain an understanding of the role of the organisation, and the services and activities provided by us.

Inala Community House is managed by members of the community who have an interest and commitment in the services and activities we deliver. Management committee are elected by the members of the organisation. We welcome and encourage any member of the community to become a member, with many of our participants becoming members.

We are very fortunate to have the wonderful support of many residents, politicians, local businesses, and workers in the area. At the Annual General Meeting reports from each programs and services are presented, along with the audited financial report, followed by the election process.

Membership renewal is the 1st July each year, which must be accepted by the current committee, with nominations also being accepted by the Management Committee prior to the election.

The Annual General Meeting itself, is a very social evening, usually catering for around 100 people, providing a sit down dinner and entertainment. It is a very rewarding organisation to be a part of, and informs you on what is happening in your community, and how you can become involved.

For further information on how to become a member, or to become involved on the Management Committee, please contact the Chief Executive Officer, Michele Meredith on 3372 1711 during business hours.

Family Camp

The idea of the camp is to provide a low cost holiday experience for local families who could otherwise not afford one and to focus on Family engagement activities. It is an annual event for three days and two nights, held during the Easter or October school holidays at the House of Happiness on Bribie Island. The Camp Site features just a short walk to the beach, has a swimming pool, BBQ, playgrounds, clean amenities & dorm style accomodation. The low cost includes transport to and from Inala Community House, food, accomodation and activities. Numbers are limited.

Melbourne Cup

The first Tuesday in November is a big day at Inala Community House. Tickets for the day are a minimum and include champagne on arrival, nibbles, fashion parade, lunch, entertainment, door prizes and the option of raffles and sweeps. A very popular event.
