Community Settlement Service Stratergy
Providing settlement support services to newly arrived refugees, migrants and humanitarian entrants, covering 14 suburbs in the south west corridor of Brisbane from Acacia Ridge to Goodna. Our service is funded by the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, and auspiced by the Inala Community House.
Settling in a new country is very stressful and our service encompasses 20 areas of a person's life from assistance with seeking accommodation, Centrelink issues, English classes, employment and training, domestic violence issues, legal, health etc.
We provide case managment of your settlement needs, referrals, community capacity building, information sessions and advocacy. We also use Bi-lingual Community Assistants from various cultures and languages and the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) to assist with language difficulties. Our service is respectful of your culture and we are confidential.
