Western Districts Child Protection Services Western Districts Child Protection Services consists of four independent programs that provide an holistic range of services to children and young people under statutory intervention.  > Western Districts Shared Family Care  > Enhanced Foster Care Program  > The Assessment Therapy and Support Unit (ATS Unit)  > The Volunteer Support (Mentoring) Program Respite: In home care for children usually on week ends, or short term. Enhanced Foster Care: In home care for children with complex to extreme needs - 20 week duration. Volunteer Support Mentoring Program: Volunteer work with children, inhome, outings, fundraising and community awareness.
